Sometimes people ask me why I use such insanely meticulous and yet unnecessary measurements. The reason? Well, although I personally don't need to measure so incredibly carefully, it's not only extremely beneficial knowing the exact location (hence allowing me to make more accurate estimates), but because it's for your benefit as well.

I've seen a lot of tutorials that gave a nice explanation, but still forced me to estimate the distances and sizes. Those tutorials, while somewhat helpful, didn't allow me to improve my anatomy at all. I always wished there was some kind of exact comparison, some kind of exact tutorial, for me to use.

Now that I'm older and able to take measurements to myself, I used six different hands and studied them in order to come up with an approximate average. Although hands differ from person to person, understanding this approximate average would've helped me a lot in my earlier days. Since I can't find any tutorial with exact measurements, I can only make one myself

This is really intimidating to look at initially, but once you power through at start reading it and put it to action, this really helps you out a lot and it isn't so complicated :D thanks sooo much! cheers for looking out for the little guys out there

Just a note, Thigh gap does not have as much to do with weight of the individual as much as it has to do with the width of their hips. No matter how thin some people get they wont have a thigh gap do to have much narrower hips.

Thank you for finally saying this. I see in so many tutorials for drawing the female figure that they always have the 'thigh gaps' and it's annoying. I have plenty of friends who are thinner and you will never it on them LOL I still will never understand the obsession with a thigh gap.

Well, do you think you can do breast physics in you style? It's hard to find tutorials on those, and I don't want to start going into drawing females in action if they look weird.
It's ok if you say no.

I've been planning a breast physics tutorial but as you can imagine it's a very difficult subject. It will be next on my list.
